What Matters Most

Too many politicians only listen to billionaires and their high priced lobbyists. I’m running to make your needs heard, to make life more affordable, and improve our community.

I’ll fight for public education to protect our children’s futures, safer neighborhoods to live in without fear, stop rising utility costs, improve access to affordable health care, more good paying jobs, and to protect civil and women’s rights!

I look forward to connecting with you, hearing what matters most to you, and earning your vote.

Together, we can move District 66 forward. Thank you!

Theresa Hester

About Me:

I am a proven leader, public servant, and dedicated advocate for working families
across North St. Louis County. As a wife, grandmother, and community champion, I
have spent my career fighting for stronger neighborhoods, economic opportunity, and
real support for families in need.

As Alderwoman for Ward 1 in Bellefontaine Neighbors, I built a reputation as an
accessible, accountable leader who shows up, listens, and ACTS. Today, I serve as
Chief Operating Officer of Saving Our Children, where I work to help families access
housing assistance, food support, workforce development, and substance abuse
recovery services.

As a former Business Agent with UFCW Local 655, I have always stood strong for
unions, fair wages, safe working conditions, and the dignity of every worker. My
leadership is grounded in lived experience, compassion, and a deep commitment to
creating opportunities for others.

I earned my Accounting degree from Harris-Stowe State University, and I use both
financial expertise and hands-on leadership to deliver real results. I am committed to
strengthening families, uplifting communities, and making sure no one is left behind.
